Nord- 312 1st Ave S

Seattle_-_Nord_Building_03Located on 1st Avenue between S. Main and S. Jackson Street in Pioneer Square, the Nord was was built in 1890 when Seattle wasn’t much more then just a logging town. Beautifully renovated in 2006 by Live Historic, the conservation group specialized in pre-1940′s built buildings which have mostly been designated as historic structures constituting their preservation. The Nord is named in honor of Frank Norquist, the building manager from earlier days when the building served travelers seeking gold as The Thompson Hotel. Today, The Nord maintains it’s old-world charm with exposed brick wall interiors and modern day features such as stainless steel appliances and Terrazzo slab counters. Of the seven condo units, the pet-friendly building contains floorplans ranging between 372 and 792 square feet with a discrete in-city rooftop terrace perfect for entertaining before heading out your front door to any of the various bars, clubs, art galleries or small mom and pop eateries.
